Gerald Roy Jackson

Gerald Roy Jackson, age 79, an Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Monday, April 22, 1946, to Roy and Grace Evone (Kimbrough) Jackson, at Palestine, TX. Gerald passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School, then received a scholarship playing basketball at Southeastern OK State where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Gerald was a History Teacher at Atoka, Caney, and Prue Schools. He coached Basketball, and Baseball. Gerald proudly served his country in The US Navy. He married Sužanne Cornwall on Friday, March 29th, 1974 at Lubbock, TX. Gerald loved hunting, and fishing with his grandkids. He enjoyed teaching, coaching, was a Cubs Fan, and was always very involved in all school activity's. Gerald always had a huge connection to his Atoka classmates, he loved going to reunions. alumni events, parades, and homecoming.

Gerald is survived by his daughters, Heather Jordan of Prue, OK, Alison Harrison and husband Tyler of Jenks, OK; granddaughter, Emma Jordan of Prue, OK, Sophie Harrison of Jenks, OK; grandson, Jaxon Harrison of Jenks, OK; brother-in-law, Richarrd Cornwall and wife Helen of Dupont, PA; nieces, Kim Dale and husband Dwayne of Atoka, OK, Darla Jackson of Atoka, OK, Gay Chapman Norton and husband Richard of Winnewood, OK; numerous extended family, former students, co-workers. Many loved ones and dear friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Sužanne Jackson; parents, Roy and Grace Evone (Kimbrough) Jackson; grandson, Spencer Jordan; brother, Maurice Jackson; sister, Jerene Chapman; nephews, Jeffrey Jackson, Kelly Chapman; niece, Linda Chapman; brother-in-law, Roy Chapman; sister-in-law, Linda Jackson.
