BORN: She was born on Friday, March 04, 1921, to Otto and Ethel Ellen (Brown) Doan, at Jadie, Ok, a small town named after her grandfather Will Jadie Doan. PASSED AWAY: Geraldine passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Coalgate, OK. AGE: 93 years, 2 months and 28 days. EDUCATION: She attended Denison Grade School near Idabel, OK and Gray High School in Idabel, OK, she continued her education at Southeastern College in Durant, OK, later she again went back to college at LaVerne, CA where she graduated. OCCUPATION: Geraldine was determined to be a school teacher like her dad and she taught at LaVerne, CA for 17 years before moving to Amity, AR where she taught 17 more years. MARRIED: She married Joseph Robert Hunt on April 15, 1939 at Redland, Ok by Joe's grandfather, J.A. Martin; Joe preceded her in death on March 4, 1998. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Geraldine was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry most of all children's poems, singing, and also gardening. However, most of all she loved and enjoyed people.
