Glenda Ruth (Moore) Lansdale, age 85, a lifelong Stringtown, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, June 9, 1937, to Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Irene (Stanford) Moore, at Stringtown, OK. Glenda passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She graduated from Stringtown High School. Glenda was a housewife and homemaker, and was also a bookkeeper at Atoka Hospital. She married Jackie D. Lansdale on Tuesday, December 7th, 1954 at McAlester, Oklahoma. They celebrated nearly 68 years of marriage. Glenda was a member of Stringtown Baptist Church and served 55 years as a clerk, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She ran Jacks Grocery Store for 21 years. Glenda loved to read and cook and was very humble and kind. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Jackie D. Lansdale of Stringtown, OK; sons, Joey Lansdale and wife Shelly of Stringtown, OK, Randy Lansdale and wife Lori of Kingston; daughter-in-law, Dianna Lansdale of Stringtown, OK; sister, Carol Bishop of TN; grandchildren, Daniel Lansdale, Jacob Lansdale, Emily Fincher and husband Donny, Dwight Lansdale, Eddie Lansdale and wife Mandi, Nathan Lansdale and wife Ashlee; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Lansdale, Aries Lansdale, Chad Lansdale, Hadleigh Jo Lansdale, Galexie Lansdale, Halli Lansdale, Colten Lansdale, Braydan Lansdale, Faith Loveland, Laruisa Lansdale, Alyssa Loveland, Trinity Fincher, Alyssa Fincher, Jules Fincher; along with neices, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Irene (Stanford) Moore; son, Jerry Lansdale; grandson, Thomas Lansdale; granddaughter, Kellee Lansdale; siblings, Tommy Moore, Betty Manion, Linda Moore Hinkle, Dan Moore, David Moore.
