October 13, 1936 – November 25, 2025
Glenn Curtis Norton, age 89, a longtime Lane, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1936, to Lonnie Curtis and Hazel Louise (Howell) Norton, at Lawton, OK. Glenn passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Sulphur, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School and received an Associate's Degree in Communication at Rose State College in Oklahoma City, OK. Glenn was in the US Air Force for 30 years, retiring in 1986 as a Chief Master Sergeant. He worked as an engineer, radar tech, communication specialist and counter intelligence. Glenn proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He married Margaret Ann (Floyd) on Friday, December 27th, 1968 at Tulsa, OK. They were married for 48 years. Glenn attended Lane Church of Christ. He enjoyed clearing land, working on the farm, collecting coins and stamps, working on tractors, especially his 1951 International tractor. He loved his dogs and going to the VFW, American Legion and DAV.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Tracy Norton of Durant, OK; sons, Darrell Norton of Lane, OK, Brian Norton and wife Lisa of Calera, OK; grandchildren, Elizabeth Laboy of Durant, OK, Taylor Brittingham and husband Rocco of Durant, OK, Kelcie Phillips of Broken Arrow, OK, Kade Phillips of Durant, OK; sisters, Della Scott and husband Larry of Del City, OK, Nancy Hyatt of Atoka, OK, Linda Page and husband Dicky of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Curtis and Hazel Louise (Howell) Norton; wife, Margaret Norton; sister, Betty Carter; brothers in law, Bill Carter, Marion Hyatt.
