Hallie "Darlyne" Price

On July 8th, 2024, Hallie "Darlyne" Price was called home by her Maker. She was born on April 16, 1934, in Purcell, Oklahoma.  She walked the world for over 88 years touching many people's lives. Darylne was the youngest of three children of Hallie Comet Hanger and Mary Blanche Feasel Hanger.  She graduated from Purcell High School and moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma.  As a young woman, she worked as a telephone technician for Sylvania, Lucent, and Western Electric until she retired in 1980. After her retirement, she used her eye for beauty, love of crafting, and many talents to create items of beauty that she sold and shared with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Darrell and Charles Hanger, and her husbands John Thompson and Newton (Buck) Price.

She is survived by her children, LaQuita and husband James Thornley, Beth and husband Terry Long, Jimmie, and wife Nikki Quattlebaum, and her adopted daughter Brittany Thompson; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
