Harley Dean Uber Jr., age 85, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, July 3, 1936, to Harley and Effie (Swindell) Uber, at Hugo, OK. Harley passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sherman, TX. He attended Atoka High School. Harley worked in construction and was also a rancher. He married Wanda Lou (Goff) at Durant, OK. They enjoyed 69 years together before his passing. Harley was a member of First Baptist Church of Atoka and the Rodeo Association. He enjoyed ranching, deer hunting, rodeos, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Harley is survived by his wife, Wanda Lou Uber of the home in Atoka, OK; sons, Crockett Uber and wife Cheryl of Kingston, OK, Bruce Uber and wife Margaret of Durant, OK, Richard Uber of Watsonville, CA; daughter/granddaughter, Lexi Morris and husband Brendon of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Brian Uber and wife Monica of Durant, OK, Kyle Uber and wife Kari of Denison, TX, Bradley Uber of Durant, OK, Joel Uber and wife Julie of Edmond, OK, Julie Uber of CA, Michael Uber of CA, Jennifer Uber of CA; 13 great grandchildren; great great grandchild, Brenlee Morris; brother, Bill Uber and wife Virginia of Santa Cruz, CA; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Effie (Swindell) Uber.
