Harold "Eddie" Edward Bailey, age 70, an Atoka, OK resident, grew up in Panama, OK and lived in Poteau, OK for many years. He was born on Monday, September 29, 1952, to George Edward and Anna Jean (Brindle) Bailey, at Bokoshe, OK. Eddie passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Atoka, OK. He attended Bokoshe and Panama Schools. Eddie was a brick and rock mason, owner and operator of McGee Creek Rock and Stone and Rock Creek Ranch Rock Co. He married Susan Elizabeth (Kinman) on Thursday, April 14th, 1983 at Poteau, OK. They celebrated over 39 1/2 years of marriage before his passing. Eddie was of the Baptist faith. He was a charter member of the Eagles Club in Spiro, OK, enjoyed fishing, hunting, owning race horses, loved telling jokes and stories mostly visiting with family and friends.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Susan Elizabeth Bailey, an English and Language Arts teacher for 6th-8th grade at Lane Public School, of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Amanda Tomlinson and husband Daniel of Pauls Valley, OK, Jason Urchison and wife Lacy of Monroe, OK, Jennifer Urchison of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Connor Doyle, Colby Doyle both of Durant, OK, Lynna Tomlinson, Audrey Tomlinson, Wyatt Tomlinson, Sylas Tomlinson all of Pauls Valley, OK; sister, Georgia Bailey of Panama, OK; brothers, Johnny Bailey of Panama, OK, David Bailey and wife Sherry of Panama, OK, Carl Bailey and wife Glenda of Panama, OK;
along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Anna Jean (Brindle) Bailey; brother, Steve Bailey; sister, Vickie Bailey.
