Obituary Hazel Mae (Riddle) Owen, age 89, an Edmond, OK. resident, was born on Sunday, August 26, 1923, to Lonzo Moore and Lou Tisha Ann (Burden) Riddle, at Kenefic, OK. Hazel passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Oklahoma City, OK. She attended Coleman high school. Hazel was a grocery store owner/operator. She married Lawrence Boyd Standifer on May 10, 1941 in Tishomingo, OK. he was killed in WWII on March 5, 1945. Later she married Benjamin Franklin Owen on December 9, 1947 in Sherman, TX. he preceded her in the death on February 15, 1975. Hazel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wapanucka and a member of the Edmond Road Baptist Church in Edmond, OK. She was an excellent seamstress. Hazel enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. Hazel is survived by her children, Doyle Standifer of Edmond, OK., Peggy (Owen) Forbes and husband Denis of Lebanon, MO.; grandchildren, Benjamin Standifer and wife Vanessa of Edmond, OK., John Pettyjohn and wife Jenny of Lebanon, MO., Heather (Pettyjohn) Wyeth and husband V.J. of Broken Arrow, OK., Sandi (Pettyjohn) Romero of Hinesville, GA., Frankey Standifer Jr. and wife Tommie Sue of Colquitt, GA., Owen Standifer of Donalsonville, GA., LeAnn (Standifer) Sapp and husband Robert of Redington Shores, FL., Lori (Standifer) Sessions and husband Darryl of Camden, AL., 18 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
