Hazel Lee (Stanley) Tomlinson, age 93, a lifelong Atoka County, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, September 2, 1931, to Oscar and Thelma (Compton) Stanley, at Caney, OK. Hazel passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Tushka High School with the class of 1949 as Valedictorian. Hazel was a bookkeeper for Stanton Engineering for over 25 years. She married Myrle Gene Tomlinson in 1950 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated over 72 years before his passing on October 11, 2022. Hazel attended Wards Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, keeping a spotless house and enjoyed working with numbers and finances.
Hazel is survived by her sons, Dale Tomlinson of Wards Chapel, OK, Ronald Tomlinson of Boggy Depot, OK; sister, Barbara Coats of Tushka, OK; nephew, Jimmy Coats of Tushka, OK; cousin, Jerry Stephens and wife Mae of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and dear friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Thelma Stanley; husband, Myrle Gene Tomlinson; brother, James Stanley; nephew, Marty Coats.
