Herbert James Brandon, age 78, a Caddo, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1946, to Audrey  Lee and Jesse Lucile (Keene) Brandon, at Townsend, MT. Herbert passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Denison, TX. He graduated High School and then went on to attend College. Herbert owned his own construction company where he did roofing, home maintenance, and remodeling. Herbert proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Darlene (Klug) and they enjoyed many years together before her passing on July 29, 2021. Herbert loved doing construction work, learning new things, gardening, and his dogs and chickens. He had a garden every year. He was very intelligent and could do math so easily compared to anyone else around him.
Herbert was survived by his daughters, Mechelle Brandon Burns and husband Anthony of Arcadia, OK, Pebbles Juanita Brandon Clayton of OKC, OK; very special friend, Reed Penniston and wife Mia of Richardson, TX; grandson, Matthew Clayton of OKC, OK; granddaughter, Whitney Clayton of OKC, OK; mother of his children, Sharon Butts and husband Tony of Edmond, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Audrey Lee and Jesse Lucile (Keene) Brandon; wife, Darlene Klug Brandon; daughter, Misty Brandon.
