Howard Lee Meneley, age 85, a Lawton, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident, was born on Friday, July 22, 1932, to William Howard and Myrtle Halley (Conn) Meneley, at Roff, OK. Howard passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Lawton, OK. He attended school at Limestone Gap. Howard was an Oil Field Superintendent. Howard proudly served his country in The Army  during the Korean Conflict. He married Jo Ann Brewer on November 10, 1951 at Durant, Ok. She preceded him in death in 2001. He later married Loretta (Golden) in 2001at Boggy Depot, OK. Howard was a member of Church of Christ. He enjoyed wood working, working in the shop and reading.
Howard is survived by his wife, Loretta Meneley of the home in Jay, OK; daughter, Brenda Darling and husband Kenny of Ratliff City, OK; grandchildren, Kennah Covington and husband Thomas of Ratliff City, OK, Duke Darling and wife April of Ratliff City, OK; 10 great grandchildren, Brandon, Zade, Kayla, Amber, Brandon, Brianna, Daylen, Joey, Harley, Haley; 7 great great grandchildren, Jasper, Jax, Julianna, Delaynie, Bodi, Aiden, Leya; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, William and Myrtle Halley (Conn) Meneley; first wife, Jo Ann Meneley; son, Brandon Meneley; sisters, Billie Louise Garside, Juanita Faye Meneley, Mary Katherine Bowen, Dessie Mae Meneley.
