Imogene (Laney) Aronson, age 99, an Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Friday, February 27, 1925, to Willis and Ina Adeline Laney, at Frederick, OK. Imogene passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Atoka, OK. She graduated with the Class of '42 from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, CA. Imogene was a owner and operator at Aronson Rug Service with her husband Howard. She married Howard Garrett Aronson on Sunday, October 21st, 1945 at Los Angeles, CA. They enjoyed 75 years of marriage together before his passing in 2020.
Imogene liked fishing, camping, collecting recipes and cooking, and feeding her feral cats. She loved all animals and flowers.
Imogene is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steven of CA, Susan of CA, Geral Jr. of FL, Walter Jr. of OR, Sue of SC, Kelly of ID, Shelley of TX, Melinda of ID, Phillis of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Mary of NV; friends, Wilma, Garnett, Sara, Jimmy and Helen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Ina Adeline (Parish) Laney; husband, Howard Garrett Aronson; brothers, Walter Laney and wife Ruby, William Laney and wife Betty, Geral Laney and wife Jean, Willis Earl Laney Jr.
