Obituary

OBITUARY Jack Haskell Ainsworth, age 90, an Atoka, OK resident was born on Monday, July 10, 1922, to Edward and Bell Ainsworth, in Stringtown, OK. Jack passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Atoka, OK. He graduated from Stringtown High School and attended numerous Military job related schools. Jack retired as Supervisor in special weapons at the U.S. Army Ammunition Depot. Jack proudly served his country in The U.S. Army in WWII. He was in Headquarter Company Combat Command B. 10th Armored Division and was with the first ground troop to arrive at the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne, Belgium. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He married Media Ann Cox on August 3, 1944 in Atoka, OK. Jack was a longtime member of the Kiowa United Methodist Church, but had recently been affiliated with the Stringtown Baptist Church. He was also a 32◦ Mason of the Kiowa Lodge. Jack is survived by his son, David Ainsworth of the home; daughter-in-law, Linda Ainsworth of Ada, OK.; grandchildren, Lisa Ainsworth of Konawa, OK., Landa Ainsworth of Portland, OR., Andrea Ainsworth of Dallas, TX., Zachery Ainsworth of Dallas, TX.; brother-in-laws, Charley Cox and wife Eleanor of Kiowa, OK., Herb Cox of Kiowa, OK.; nieces, Joyce Ainsworth of Atoka, OK., Doris Carpenter and husband David of Atoka, OK., Lynda Oldham and husband Larry of Atoka, OK., Mary Ellen Lillard and husband Doug of Norman, OK., Julie Lambert of Durant, OK., Violet Walton of Arizona. ; nephews, David Isbell of Nevada, Daryl Isbell of New Mexico, Gene Lambert of Durant, OK along with many other relatives & many dear and loving friends. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bell Ainsworth; wife, Ann Ainsworth; son, Gary Ainsworth; brothers, Woodrow Ainsworth, Lee Ainsworth; sisters, Eddie Hight, Lottie Isbell, Lora "Muggs" Self, Edith Lambert, Ora Irene Ainsworth ****************************************************************** DATE OF SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 PLACE OF SERVICES: Stringtown Baptist Church, Stringtown, Oklahoma OFFICIATING: Dr. James Crowson & Rev.
