OBITUARY

NAME: Jack Walton Crews, age 94, a longtime Lane, OK resident.

BORN: He was born on Saturday, March 25, 1922, to Quincey and Nancy Launa (Vernon) Crews Sr., at Ward Springs, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Jack passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Talihina, OK.

AGE: 94 years, 10 months and 7 days.

EDUCATION: He attended school at Lane.

OCCUPATION: Jack was a retired state of Oklahoma Trapper. He was also a logger, working in Magdalena, NM., and working with his brother, Muggs as a crosscut team in cutting the giant redwoods. Jack worked at Ruidosa, NM., as a guard.

MILITARY: Jack proudly served his country in The Army Air Corp during WWII.

MARRIED: He married Ruth Delene (Sheffield) on Wednesday, July 1st, 1964 at Farris, OK. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2007.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Jack was a member of Lane Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, raising watermelons and canteloupes, and spending time with his family and church family.

GRANDSONS: Tommy and Troy Sensibaugh of Tennessee

along with nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren and many dear and loved friends.
