Jackie Virginia (Smith) Anderson, a Centrahoma resident, was born on May 30, 1933, to Oron and Ada (O'Dell) Smith, at Coal County, OK. She passed away on May 26, 2023, at her home in Centrahoma, OK at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 26 days.

Jackie attended grade schools in Mowdy, Wardville, McCarty and LoneStar. She went to Coalgate High School beginning in 1948 and graduated in 1951. Jackie attended East Central University where she received her Bachelor of Science in 1970 and her Master of Education in 1973. She also attended SOSU, Murray, OU and OSU.

Jackie was a teacher at Emerson Elementary from 1971-1992 and a secretary at Wallace Byrd Middle School from 1993-1997.

She married Paul Anderson on March 15, 1952 at Sherman, Texas. They celebrated 56 years together before his passing on February 13, 2009.

Jackie was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Centrahoma Baptist Church. She was also a member of NEA, OEA and CCE. Jackie was a Stamp Club sponsor from 1976 to 1991. She was an East Central OEA delegate. Jackie was a Girl Scout leader from 1976 to 1978 and a 4-H leader. She was the Hurley Manor Volunteer's secretary and treasurer starting in 1978 and continued for many years. Jackie was the president of the Centrahoma Cemetery Association. She received the honor of being named Coal County Teacher of the Year in 1991-1992.

Along with numerous nieces, nephews and many dearly loved friends
