Jacob Wayne Gardner, age 30, a Stonewall, OK resident, part time Texan, was raised in Stringtown, lived in Missouri and Texas for a short while. He was born on Thursday, March 19, 1992, to Donald Wayne and Laura Elain (Howard) Gardner, at Durant, OK.
Jacob passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Stringtown High School with the class of 2010. He loved playing basketball and hanging with his friends. Jacob worked as Sonny's Foods, Choo Choo Cafe in Stringtown, assisted in the Atoka Dam Project, a foreman for IRBY Construction and worked for other companies. He married Falicity Star (Evins) on Monday, August 4th, 2014 at Stringtown, OK. Jacob was a Christian and attended Church of the Rock. Stringtown Baptist and H20 Church in Ada, a member of the IBEW Electrical Union. He was the greatest dad and husband, was "Hardcore" to the "Core" Lineman. Jacob enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved being with his family, taking them to see all kinds of attractions, a good and faithful husband, father, employee, son and son in law.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Falicity Star Gardner of the home in Stonewall, OK; children, Mallie Gardner, Xayden Gardner, Legend Gardner, Legion Gardner; mother and bonus father, Laura Rector and husband Bobby of Stringtown, OK; mother in law, Shana Sheffield and Craig Williams of Lane, OK; father in law, Randy Evins of Tulsa, OK; grandmother in law, Carolyn Roberts of Atoka, OK; siblings, Casey Hodges and wife Melissa of Stringtown, OK, Debra Hodges of Atoka, OK, Keven Rector and wife Kala of Harmony, OK; sisters in law, Shayla Kennedy and husband Justin of Stringtown, OK, Staci Sheffield, Dallas Harper of Tulsa, OK; special brothers, Sam Hilburn of Wapanucka, OK, Heath Magby of Stringtown, OK, Gage Guest of Stringtown, OK; aunts and uncles, Staci Pettigrew and Gary, Crystal Lee and Frank, Clara Sheffield, James Howard; nieces and nephews, Cora, Mayzi, Alexis, Tyler, Zachery, Keden; cousins, Indiana, Arrica, Kacey, Kaleb, Trey, Melissa, Shakota, Taleska, Kaylee, Kaydence, Ryleigh, Peyton, Deidre, Joe, Kathleen, Scott, Shane, Jessica, Robbie, Gabriel, Axel, Charlotte, Austin, Keira, Noah, Elijah, Addelyn, Griffith, Charlie, Mcayla; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wayne Gardner; grandparents, Faye McCarty and Ray McCarty, Richard and Ruby Hodges, Delbert Sheffield; uncles, John Howard, Shawn Sheffield, Steve Rector, Eric Rector.
