James Kenneth Allen, age 83, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, May 25, 1938, to Wilbure Green "W.G." and Geneva Dolly (Barnes) Allen, at Seminole, OK. He married Glenda Bell (White) on Monday, May 6th, 1957 at Durant, OK. They shared 64 wonderful years together. James was a licensed plumber and contractor. He attended Harmony, Tushka and Atoka Public Schools. James attended Melba Ave Church of Christ. He loved to hunt, fish and tend to his beautiful garden, most of all he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. James passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Atoka, OK.
James is survived by his wife, Glenda Bell Allen of the home in Tushka, OK; sons, Kenneth Allen of Tushka, OK, Ron Allen and wife Linda of Tushka, oK; 10 grandchildren, Heather Hunter and husband Cody of Caney, OK, Amanda Allen of Atoka, OK, Teresa White and husband Charlie of Atoka, OK, Karri Easley and husband David of Stringtown, OK, James D. Allen and wife Katie of Leflore, OK, Rebecca Benson and husband Eric of Tushka, OK, Houston Benson of Houston, TX, Chris Benson of N. Richard Hills, TX, Curtis Brey of Canal Winchester, OH, Mindy Shumate and husband Nick of Collinsville, TX; 20 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, W.G. and Geneva Allen; sisters, Eloise Frances, Jessie Harris, Wynoma McGovern, June Tennell; brothers, W.G. Allen Jr., Orvil Gene Allen.
