James Garland Childers, age 68, a longtime resident of Caney & Caddo, OK area, was born on Wednesday, January 3, 1945, to Rufus and Viola (Walker) Childers, at Caney, OK. James passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Caddo, OK. He attended school in Caddo and Caney. James worked at Durant Peanut Company and then was a equipment operator and worked commercial & highway construction. Last several years he worked with his son at Red River Sand in Texas. He married Isla Jane Lorance on July 24, 1963 in Caddo, OK. James was of the Baptist faith and member of Caddo Roundup Club, he loved horses, Old Blue was his favorite, gardening, horseback Relay Races, doing upholstering, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife, Isla Jane Childers of the home in Caddo, OK.; children, Jamie Childers and wife Martha of Caddo, OK., Lequita Ervin and husband Kasey of Hendrix, OK., Donald Childers and wife Michelle of West Fork, AR.; grandchildren, Tracy Henry of Caddo, OK., Jeremy Childers and significant other, Kacey Layton of Caddo, OK., Tyler Childers and significant other, Jessica Kisinger of Atoka, OK., Taylor Childers of Hendrix, OK., Ryan Broughton of Tushka, OK., Klay & Keeli Ervin of Hendrix, OK., Cole Tyler of West Fork, AR., MiKayla Tyler of West Fork, AR., Skyler Childers of West Fork, AR.; great grandchildren, Zachary Webb, Tanner Wheat both of Caddo, OK.; siblings, Ruby Rhodes of Caddo, OK., Jessie Childers and wife Anita of Caddo, OK., Bertha Childress of Collyville, TX., Shirley Standridge and husband Charles of Greenville, TX.; sister-in-law, Bessie Childers of Caney, OK., brother-in-law, J.J.
