James David White, age 79, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, April 26, 1945, to James Washington and Rabie Morine (Presley) White, at Atoka, OK. James passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Atoka, OK. He attended Lane School and went on to Atoka High School. James was a dozer operator, truck salesman, and truck driver. James proudly served his country in The United States Army. He served in Vietnam where he was injured in battle, receiving a Purple Heart for his service. He married Karrie Darline Bell on Wednesday, July 5th, 1995 at Las Vegas, NV. James enjoyed fishing, camping, and aggravating people.
He is survived by his wife, Karrie Darline White of the home in Atoka, OK; son, Jakus White of Lane, OK; granddaughter, Bayle Shepherd and husband Bowdee of Bromide, OK; grandsons, Phoenix White of Lane, OK, Cannon White of Lane, OK; great grandchildren, Carter Lee White, Hadlee Grace White, Kaislee Ann Sheperd; sisters, Wantova Goodson and husband Jess of Lane, OK, E'Lisa Campbell of Tulsa, OK, Tammie Sanders of Lane, OK; along with numerous other dearly loved friends and family.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James Washington White and Rabie Morine (Presley) White; sister, Marieawanka Kaye White.
