James "Ed" Edward Walker, age 91, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, May 7, 1930, to James Richard and Effie Jewel (Bates) Walker, at Konawa, OK. Ed passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Durant, OK. He graduated from Konawa High School in 1948. Ed was a truck driver until his retirement in 2005. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Jan Walker on March 6, 1984 at Denison, TX. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2016, they celebrated 32 years before her passing. Ed was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, raising Beagles and loved spending time with his family. Ed is survived by his daughters, Marcy Walker of Konawa, OK, Teresa Fisher and husband Clint of Stratford, OK, Shae Wilson of Lane, OK; granddaughters, Ashleigh Reeves and husband Michael of Konawa, OK, Natalie Isaacs and husband Micah of Konawa, OK, Saylor Wilson of Lane, OK, Macy Reeves of Lane, OK; grandsons, Scott Lewis and wife Kelsey of Duncan, OK, Carter Reeves of Lane, OK; brother, Bill Walker and wife Nancy of New Castle, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, James Richard and Effie Jewel (Bates) Walker; wife, Jan Walker; son, Will Walker; brothers, Bud Walker, Warren Walker; sister, Pat Nimmo
