James "Danny" Daniel Estes, age 68, an Atoka, OK resident for the last 20 years, was raised in Bokchito and lived many years in Coal County, was born on Wednesday, August 4, 1954, to Bernice Arthur and Lola Florene (Allen) Estes, at Boswell, OK. Danny passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Bokchito High School and went on to attend college. Danny was a carpenter. He was a christian and a follower of Jesus. Danny enjoyed antiquing, wood work, knife making and jewelry.
Danny is survived by his children, Nathaniel Estes of Eureka Springs, AR, Aaron Estes and wife Jessica near Ada, OK, Kimberly Morrison and husband Jared of Stratford, OK; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Judy Holleman of Brownwood, TX; aunt, Reba Eddington of Coalgate, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Arthur and Lola Florene (Allen) Estes; brother, Don Henderson.
