James "LJ" Howard Langston, age 73, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, March 21, 1950, to James William and Nola Mae (Titus) Langston, at Oklahoma City, OK. James passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his home in Atoka, OK.  He graduated from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, OK. James was a truck driver for Coca-Cola. James proudly served his country in The Army. He married Zesta "Angel" (McNeely) on Saturday, June 19th, 1982 at Oklahoma City, OK. They celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing. LJ was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed painting, singing gospel, Elvis, anything 50's and 60's, playing Santa for INCA and all children, and spending time with his family.
LJ is survived by his wife, Zesta Langston of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Susan Kennedy and husband Billy of Rolla, MO, Javonna Sanders and husband Jack of Atoka, OK, Elwana Lockard and husband Michael of Atoka, OK, Kayla Langston of Stringtown, OK; grandchildren, Alyssa Kennedy, Heavenly Crosby, Gabrielle Langston and Justin Hendricks, Jazmyne Langston, Xavier Scott, Cody Johnson, Ariana Langston, Lacey Henderson; great grandchildren, Luka, Leo, Elizabeth, Avary, Carter, Bodhi, Raven; siblings, Scott Langston of Valley Brook, OK, Jerry Langston and wife Janet of Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Nola Langston of Valley Brook, OK; sister in law, Zestina Johnson of Atoka, OK; nephew, Zaiden Johnson of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
LJ was preceded in death by his father, James William Langston; son, Roy Langston.
