Obituary James Allen Slaton, age 69, a Tushka, OK resident was born on Thursday, April 01, 1943, to George and Tinnie Marie (Baldwin) Slaton, at Ada, OK. James passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School in 1962. James was a warehouse worker for the furniture industry and proudly served his country in the US. Army. He married Minnie Rebecca "Betty" Carey on August 12, 1968 in Ft. Smith, AR. James was a member of the Tushka First Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James is survived by his wife, Betty Slaton of the home in Tushka, OK.; sons, Bill Stith and wife Sandra of Tupelo, OK., Jimmy Slaton and partner Veronica McIntyre of Atoka, OK.; daughter, Ronda Banks of Tushka, OK.; sister, Jerry Marie Moore of Cooper, TX.; brothers, Joe Slaton of Cooper, TX., John Slaton and wife Deloris of Wilmington, CA.; grandsons, Brandon Stith of Oil Center, OK., Tyler Stith of Tishomingo, OK., Ricky Banks of Atoka, OK., Jack Slaton of Atoka, OK.; step grandsons, Michael Baldwin and wife Lauren of Clarita, OK., Jeffery Baldwin of Tupelo, OK., James Baldwin of Tupelo, OK.; granddaughters, Hailie Watkins of Kiefer, OK., Stefani Armstrong and husband Kyle of Spencervillie, OK., Jodee Slaton of Atoka, OK., Emma Slaton of Atoka, OK.; he is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
