James Leroy White, age 80, of Coalgate, OK, was born on Friday, July 24, 1942, to James Hubert "Buck" and Velma White, at Granite, OK. James passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Oklahoma City, OK. James was a Police Officer both active and reserve for 40 plus years and a factory worker. He served his country 3 years in the Army and the 2 years Air Force Reserves. James loved the Lord, he served his God, community and family as an ordained minister for most of his adult life. When he wasn't preparing hearts or protecting the streets he enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, playing dominoes, traveling and spending time with family.
James is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Hinkle and husband Jeremy of Muskogee, OK; son, Brian White and wife Becky of Muskogee, OK; 5 grandsons, Kyle White of New Jersey, Tyler White of Georgia, Aubrey Garrett of Muskogee, OK, Quai Hinkle of Muskogee, OK, Dylan Kimbrell of Muskogee, OK; 5 granddaughters, Sarina White of Florida, Brooklyn Campbell and husband Jay of Muskogee, OK, Brianna White of Muskogee, OK, Haylie White of Muskogee, OK, Meadow Garrett of Gore, OK; 5 great grandchildren plus one on the way; sister, Joyce Strickland of Caddo, OK; brothers, Delbert White and wife Mary of Coalgate, OK, Carl White of Arlington, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, JH "Buck" and Velma White; sons, Michael White, Jimbo White; brothers, Harvey White, Henry White; sisters, Lily Dove, Gail Shaw.
