OBITUARY NAME: James Albert Williams, age 71, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. BORN: He was born on Sunday, June 15, 1941, to W.O and Lennie Mae (Cecil) Williams, at Wilson Community in Atoka, OK. PASSED AWAY: James passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Oklahoma City, OK. AGE: 71 years, 6 months and 6 days. EDUCATION: He attended grade school at Wilson, then Morning Side Elementary and Daggart Jr. High in Ft. Worth, TX. and graduated from Burleson High School in Burleson , TX. He attended college in Arlington TX. and studied engineering after his service in the U.S. Marine Corps he continued his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. MILITARY: James proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps and traveled with the prestigious U.S. Marine Corps Rifle team. He earned many medals and awards. OCCUPATION: After two years working for Allstate Insurance in California, James helped his dad as a carpenter and was a postal clerk and mail carrier before becoming Postmaster in Atoka for 16 years. After his postal career, James sold automobiles for Harmon Jones and Stuteville Ford in Atoka, then for the past few years he worked at Southeast Truck Co. for Gerald Eaves. MARRIED: He married Dolly Jean (Burrows) on Nov. 11, 1987 in Atoka, OK. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: James was raised up in the Baptist Church. He loved to garden and spend time outdoors, in his younger years he loved to fish and hunt as well. James enjoyed reading, but his favorite pastime was visiting with others. He always had a good story to share SURVIVED BY WIFE: Dolly Jean Williams of the home in Atoka, OK. DAUGHTER: Heather Miranda Snow-Wesley and husband Tim of Atoka, OK. SONS: Dusty James Snow of Atoka, OK. Jamison Trey Williams of Atoka, OK. GRANDDAUGTER: Brooklyn Deann Snow of Atoka, OK. SISTER: Mary Lucille Watson of Atoka, OK. SPECIAL COUSIN: Lou Mitchell of Atoka, OK. Along with nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
