Jane Gay Haslam

Jane Gay Haslam, age 81, a Foster, RI resident, formerly of Johnston County was born on Thursday, January 18, 1945, to Elvie Ernest and Cleo Pernice (Standifer) Tolbert, at Mill Creek, OK and passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI.

Jane graduated from Mill Creek High School. She worked in shipyards for General Dynamics welding nuclear powered submarines. She did x-ray inspections on submarines also, she was a very hard worker. Early on she was a country girl working on the farm. She married Robert Cetenich, he preceded her in death. Jane later married Robert Haslam who preceded her in death

Jane enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, cooking, (best apple pie maker), was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and OU Sooners, loved animals, her dogs and cats and loved being with her family and friends.

SON: Gary Cetenich and wife Christine of Coventry, RI

DAUGHTER: Heidi Cetenich of Foster, RI

GRANDCHILDREN: Jacob Cetenich of Foster, RI, Cody Cetenich of Coventry, RI, Mackenzie Rapson of Coventry, RI

BROTHER: E.J. Tolbert and wife Pauline of Tishomingo, OK

along with nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear and loved friends.
