Jeannie Joyce Kooy

Jeannie Joyce Kooy, age 79, a longtime Lane, OK resident. She was born on Friday, November 29, 1946, to Harold Edwin and Elma Lucille (Lansing) Jenkins, at Perry, IA. Jeannie passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at her home in Lane, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She graduated from Yucaipa High School and then went on to attend college. Jeannie was a business owner of Star Auto Parts in California. She married David Allen Kooy who preceded her in death. Jeannie was a member of Lane Baptist Church and loved attending church. She loved babysitting, especially her great grandchildren, spending time with her dog Josie (her pride and joy), watching her husband race, taking her grandchildren riding, going to the Sand Drags, and going out with her church friends.

Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Kooy of Lane, OK; son, Ed Kooy of Lane, OK; grandchildren, Amber Flattinger of lane, OK, Bryce Cansler and wife Alexis of Bokchito, OK, Ashley Connoly and husband Kyle of Rancho, CA; great grandchildren, Jaleigh thomas, Addilynn Brewster, Grayson King, Memri Cansler, Emma Cansler, Ella Cansler, Ezra Cansler, Jaden Baker, Orion Connoly, Atlas Connoly; sister, Cherie Hegwood and husband Al of Prescott, AZ; brother, Gary Kenan and wife Joy of Long Beach, CA; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Edwin Jenkins and Elma Lucille (Lansing) King; husband, David Allen Kooy; great granddaughter, Allie Brewster.
