Jeniva M. (Stafford) Jones, age 81, a former longtime Caney resident and lived in Tushka the last two and a half years, was born on Saturday, June 1, 1940, to John Z. and Mamie (Carson) Stafford, at Mead, OK. Jeniva passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home in Tushka, OK. She attended Mead and Bokchito Public Schools. Jeniva was a minister, worked at Caney Day and Night, and also at INCA Headstart as a substitute teacher. She married Lawrence Krebbs who preceded her in death. She later married Albert Jones on July 6, 1991 at Caney, OK who also preceded her in death. Jeniva was a lifelong Pentecostal member. Her and her husbands, Lawrence and Albert ministered at many churches throughout the area. She loved repairing bicycles and selling them. Jeniva was very mechanical and loved fixing things.. Most of all she loved sharing the Gospel and being a minister.
Jeniva is survived by her siblings, Floyd Stafford and wife Pat of Tushka, OK, Johnny Stafford and wife Charlotte of Blanchard, OK, Betty Taylor of Caney, OK; children, Tommy Harrington, James Harrington and wife Dianne, Jan Cates and husband Ron; many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Jeniva was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie Stafford; husbands, Lawrence Krebbs, Albert Jones; siblings, Lola Green, Lois Mayberry, Hazel Merriman, Frances Gray, Doris Williams, Orvil "Bickie" Stafford, Vernon "Bunk" Stafford; daughter, Tammy Brame.
