OBITUARY

NAME: Jerry Dewayne Bates, age 60, a Lehigh resident.

BORN: He was born on July 19, 1955, to Alex and Martharene (Williams) Bates, at Coalgate, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Jerry passed away on May 13, 2016 at Lehigh, OK.

AGE:  60 years, 9 months and 24 days.

EDUCATION: He attended Lehigh Grade school and graduated from Coalgate High School in 1973, he also attended Murray State College & Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

OCCUPATION: After College, Jerry moved to OKC & began working at DHS in the mail room. Then later moved back to Lehigh and worked at Sykes in Ada.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS:   Jerry accepted Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate. While he was in OKC he attended Wildwood Baptist Church where he was a faithful member. He returned back to Lehigh, where he was a faithful member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, he served as the  church clerk & treasurer until his death.
