October 19, 1944 – October 29, 2020
Jerry Lee Lytle, age 76, was a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, October 19, 1944, to P.E. and Leona (Evans) Lytle, at Farris, OK. Jerry passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Tahlequah, OK. He attended school at Farris Elementary and graduated from Atoka High School. Jerry went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Jerry taught math, science and was a girl's basketball coach for 27 years. Jerry proudly served his country for 6 years in the Army National Guard. He married Alice Marie (Dillard) on Friday, October 18th, 1963 at Harmony Baptist Church in Atoka, OK. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before Alice passed. Jerry was of the Baptist faith, loved to go hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with family and entertaining the grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Tammy Renee Lytle of Plano, TX, Tanya Kaye Howerton of Park Hill, OK, Toni Faye Vandegrift of Ada, OK; granddaughters, Allyson Frances Howerton of Durant, OK, Paige Marie Vandegrift of Durant, OK; brother, Tommy Lytle of Lane, OK; sisters, Frankie Edwards of Ivins, UT, Patsy Burkhalter of Lane, OK; along with nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lytle; parents, P.E. and Leona (Evans) Lytle; brothers, Sam Lytle, Fred Lytle; sisters, Helen Ann Gibbins, Frances Tennell, Jean Tennell, Charlene Storie.
