Obituary Jerry Dean Mitchell, age 64, a Comanche resident formerly of Atoka, was born on Thursday, October 9, 1947, to Lebern and Dora (Cole) Mitchell, at Atoka, Ok. Jerry passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Duncan, Ok. He attended Atoka School. Jerry was a Roughneck and worked in the oilfield for over 40 years. He retired from Ada Energy. He married Billye (Ross) on September 4, 1974 at Durant, Ok. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his wife, Billye Mitchell of the home in Comanche, Ok.; mother, Dora (Cole) Mitchell of Atoka, Ok.; children, Jerry Lee Mitchell of Comanche, Ok., Sidney "Sammy" Mitchell and wife Charlene of Ratliff City, Ok., Lacinda "Cindy" Hicks and husband Michael of Elmore City, Ok.; brothers, Buddy Mitchell of Atoka, Ok., Bobby Mitchell of Comanche, Ok., Carl Mitchell and wife Margaret of Comanche, Ok.; sister, Lola Wilson and husband DA of Antioch; brothers-in-law, Rod Heath of Redding, Ca., George S. Ross of Atoka, Ok.; sister-in-law, Sherry Ross of Caney, Ok.; grandchildren, Ricardo Hernandez and Lillie Mae Mitchell of Yuma, Az., Jerry Dean Mitchell II, Jessica Rae Mitchell, and Joseph Lebern Mitchell of Ratliff City, Ok., Garry Casey of Elmore City, Ok., Ashley Renae Hicks and fiancé Matthew Wilkerson of Waurika, Ok., Anna Marie Hicks, Angela Rachelle Hicks, and Micah Danielle Hicks of Elmore City, Ok.; great grandchildren, Maverick Michael Thomas Wilkerson of Waurika, Ok., 2 more great grandchildren on the way; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
