Jerry Dean Williams, age 66, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, July 1, 1957, to Reed and Isabel "Lizzie" (Leflore) Williams, at Antlers, OK. Jerry passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Tulsa, OK. He graduated High School. Jerry worked as a Deputy for Choctaw and Pushmataha Counties, for Department of Corrections where he retired, after he retired from DOC, he signed up for one more year, was a welder, and worked in construction. He served his country in the U.S. Marines in Cambodia and Japan where he worked in the military police. He married Wanda Arlene (Marsh) in 2002 at Antlers, OK. They celebrated 21 years of marriage before his passing. Jerry was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of Cane Hill Methodist at Bentley, member of NRA, Choctaw Color Guard, and a proud member of Choctaw Nation. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, crafting Indian jewelery, doing rock-art and arrowheads.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Wanda Arlene Williams of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Shawn Williams and wife Martha of Chapel Hill, NC, Jamie Richardson and husband Marion of Tushka, OK; step children, Shelly Poole and husband Conrad of Dallas, TX, Dennis Bishop and wife Kathryn of Arlington, TX, Marsha Sikes and husband Cliff of Forney, TX; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 expected soon; brother, Johnny Williams of Tushka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Isabel "Lizzie" (Leflore) Williams; sisters, Joyce Williams, Vera Frazier, Vivian Marris.
