OBITUARY NAME: Jessie L. (Smith) Servis, age 95, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Aunt and wonderful friend. BORN: She was born on Sunday, May 11, 1919, to Barney and Eula (Chapman) Smith, in rural Atoka, OK. PASSED AWAY: Jessie passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Atoka, OK. AGE: 95 years, 11 months and 26 days. EDUCATION: She attended and graduated McAlester High School in 1938. OCCUPATION: Jessie was a medical claims assistant for most of her working career at Labette County Medical Center in Parsons, KS. MARRIED: She married Carl W. Servis in Eufaula, OK. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Jessie was a Christian of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed playing golf, and was very active in the Parsons, KS., Katy Women's Golf Association having played in numerous women's competitive regional tournaments. In later years, after returning to Atoka, OK., Jessie became an avid Bridge player. She was an active member of the Thursday Bridge Club.
