Jeweldeen Justus, age 72, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, February 13, 1952, to Joe Wesley and Callie (Blevens) McCullar, at Atoka, OK. Jewel passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at her home in Atoka, OK. She attended Atoka Public Schools. Jewel was a Homemaker and Housewife. She married Hershel Hoyt Justus on Friday, July 29th, 1977 at Mt. View Addition Church in Atoka, OK and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage together before her passing. Jewel was a member of the River of Life Church. She enjoyed going shopping and taking walks.
Jewel is survived by her husband, Hershel Hoyt Justus of the home in Atoka, OK; son, Roger Brown and wife Anna of KS; daughters, Angela Birdsong of Stringtown, OK, Aimee Denny and husband Joseph of Summerfield, NC; step-daughters, Laurie Chitwood and husband Wes of Hot Springs, AR, Donna Justus of Hot Springs, AR; grandsons, Tanner Brown and wife Auguste of KS, Blake Birdsong and wife Hannah of KS, Lane Brown and wife Ashton of KS, Nolan Denny of Summerfield, NC; granddaughters, Callie Birdsong of Atoka, OK, Reese Denny of Summerfield, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Wesley and Callie (Blevens) McCullar; step-son, Ricky Justus; brother, Clifford McCullar; sisters, Linda Sue McCoy, JoAnn Steer.
