Jim Edmond Reed, a Pauls Valley resident, was born on April 15, 1946, to Ross and Bessie Beatrice (Hughes) Reed, at Pine, Oklahoma. He passed away on April 23, 2024, at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years and 8 days. Jim completed the 8th Grade at Pine School then graduated from Coalgate High School. He was a printer. Jim served in the U.S. Army reserves during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life Peggy Jean Smith on June 22, 1968, at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate. Peggy spotted him across the school yard and said "That's the one for me!" The rest was history. Together, they had three beautiful daughters and a wonderful life together. Jim and Peggy celebrated 55 blessed years of marriage before his passing. He liked fishing, quail hunting, camping, and a good game of dominoes. Jim loved spending time with his family.

Logan Reed

Sisters: Kerma Parrett and husband Bob

Myrtle Liles and husband David

Along with numerous nieces and nephews
