Jimmie Roy Perry, age 79, a Ardmore, OK resident. He was born on Monday, February 7, 1944, to Joel Leonard and Eliza Louise (Miller) Perry, at Val Alstyne, TX. Jimmie passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Ardmore, OK. He attended Val Alstyne Public School. Jimmie was a jet engine mechanic in the USMC and worked for Delta Airlines for 15 years and Lance Inc for 13 years. Jimmie proudly served his country in The USMC. He married Ruth Helen (Smith) on Saturday, May 25th, 1963 at Val Alstyne, Texas. They celebrated 60 wonderful years together before her passing on February 2, 2023. Jimmie loved to sing and play the guitar. He had 2 cd's made and he loved spending time with family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Dale Perry and wife Darlene of Harve deGrace, MD, Richard Perry and wife Geneva Spencer of Sherman, TX, Robert Perry and Marilyn Callicoat of Atoka, OK, Johnnie Perry of Atoka, OK, Thomas Perry of Madill, OK; daughters, Angie Sechrist of Madill, OK, Kelsie Perry of Madill, OK; along with 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, other relatives and many dear friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Leonard and Eliza Louise (Miller) Perry; wife, Ruth Helen Perry; daughters, Sharrie Perry, Karrie Perry Koonce; brothers, Larry Perry, Robert Perry, Billy Martel, Dennis Perry, Kenneth Perry; grandchildren, Sarah Stultz; 2 great grandchildren, Blaine Sechrist, Flint Smith.
