Jo Ann Brumley, age 85, a Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, March 4, 1938, to Joel and Willie Mae (Baxter) Allbright, at Junction, TX. Jo Ann passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Atoka, OK. She attended Grandfalls Royalty High School in Grandfalls, TX. Jo Ann was a nurse aid and provider. She married Ira L. Brumley on Thursday, June 17th, 1954 at Lovington, N.M.. Jo Ann was a member of Church of God in Wapanucka. She enjoyed playing guitar, music, singing, crocheting, writing Christian songs, writing books for children, loved music, drawing, going to the casino, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Jo Ann would make sure her grandchildren played outside.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Nichols and husband Doyle of Stringtown, OK, Angela Baxter and husband Jeff of Wapanucka, OK; grandchildren, Bobby Rylant Brumley of Elk City, OK, Nakoda Brumley of Wapanucka, OK, Natasha Pylant and husband Colin of Bridgeport, TX, Joey Nichols and wife Melissa of Stringtown, OK, Jeremy Baxter and wife Kim of Paris, TX, Derick Baxter and wife Tamera of Tushka, OK; brother in law, J.R. Roberts; great grandchildren, Hadley, Witten, Hayden, Payton, Nicole, Madison, Aspen, Hunter, Tavin, Remyngton, Ivy; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of loved family and friends.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Willie Mae Allbright; husband, Ira Brumley; son, Ira Max Brumley, grandchildren, twins, Robert Mark and Phillip Anthony Harper, and numerous siblings.
