NAME: Joe Michael Howell, age 57, a longtime Tushka, OK resident, formerly a Cottonwood, Coalgate area resident.

BORN: He was born on Wednesday, October 7, 1959, to Joe Ray Howell and Lula Bell Hedgecock, at Coalgate, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Joe passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Atoka, OK.

AGE: 57 years, 4 months and 26 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated from Tupelo High School and then attended East Central State University where he received an Associate's Degree.

OCCUPATION: Joe was an insurance agent for Farmer's Insurance Group and owned his own business in Coalgate for the past 35 years. Before that Joe worked as an accountant for Brown and Root Construction.

MARRIED: He married Brenda Kay (Hall) on Saturday, July 25th, 1981, at Tushka Baptist Church. They had 35 wonderful years together.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Joe was a longtime member of Tushka Baptist Church. He was a member of Tushka Vol. Fire Fighters for a period of time, loved tennis, playing golf, fishing, mowing, technology, watching OU Sooners, and spending time with his family.

WIFE: Brenda Kay Howell of the home in Tushka, OK

SON: Brett Michael Howell and Cassie Woods of Claremore, OK

GRANDDAUGHTER: Jocelyn Faith Howell of Claremore, OK

IN LAWS: Jerry O. and Gearl Dean Hall of Tushka, OK

SISTER: Suzan Cox and husband Craig of Coalgate, OK

BROTHER: Roger Dane Hedgecock of Coalgate, OK
BROTHER IN LAW:           Kris Hall and wife Patty of Tushka, OK

NIECES: Sarah Knight of Broken Arrow, OK

Katy Hedgecock of Atoka, OK

NEPHEWS: Aaron Cox of Coalgate, OK
Quinn and Konar Hall of Tushka, OK

along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
