ObObituary John L Bigbie, age 76, a Boggy Depot, OK resident, was born on Thursday, December 3, 1936, to John and Lexie (Price) Bigbie, at Oklahoma City, OK. John passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Atoka County, OK. He graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1956 then attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth where he received his Associates Degree. John was a rancher, preacher, and retired from Bell Helicopter in Grand Prairie, TX. John proudly served his country in The United States Army 82nd Airborne. He married Linda Ann (James) on July 1, 1989 in Tishomingo, OK. John was a member and former preacher of the Boggy Depot Baptist Church. He was formerly the pastor at Wilson Baptist and Wapanucka Baptist Church. John was an avid OU Sooner fan; he enjoyed ranching, riding horses, and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Bigbie of the home in Boggy Depot, OK.; children, Jeff Bigbie and wife Carol of Wapanucka, OK., Charity Crockett of Boggy Depot, OK., Stephanie Key and husband DJ of Westville, OK.; daughter/grandchild, Jordyn Crockett of Boggy Depot, OK.; grandchildren, Tiffany Bigbie of Sulphur, OK., Jeremy Bigbie of Durant, OK., Justin Bigbie of Early, TX., Jessica Bigbie of Zephyr, TX., Jamie Bigbie of Zephyr, TX., Rachel Key of Westville, OK.; great grandchildren, Sophia Bigbie of Durant, OK., Brooklyn, Barrett Bigbie and a newborn great grandson of Early, TX., Riley Bigbie of Zephyr, TX.; sisters, Clida Bigbie of Salton, CA., Geri Dempsey of Altus, OK., Linda Newton of Altus, OK.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
