John Frank Gerhards, age 83, a Coalgate resident.  He was born on May 30, 1937, to John and Leona (McNulty) Gerhards, at Guthrie, OK. John passed away on October 9, 2020 at his home in Coalgate, OK.

He attended Guthrie High School graduating in 1955. He went on to further his education and attended Okmulgee Tech receiving an Associate's Degree in Air conditioning. John worked as a Project Manager at TDIndustries in Dallas, TX.  John married Laura June Welty on Nov. 22, 1955 in Guthrie, OK, she preceded him in death on June 24, 2016

He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Coalgate. He loved hunting & fishing, working on vehicles, tinkering around on the land, watching westerns and reloading shot gun shells.
