OBITUARY NAME: John Stanley Hickman, age 69, a longtime Coalgate resident. BORN: He was born on May 10, 1945, to John R. Hickman Jr & Helen (Turner) Hickman, in Ada, OK. PASSED AWAY: Stanley passed away on May 31, 2014 at OKC, OK. AGE: 69 years and 20 days. EDUCATION: Stanley graduated from Coalgate school in 1963 and attended ECU and received a bachelors of science degree in 1967 and received his masters degree in 1980. OCCUPATION: Stanley taught school in Coalgate for many years. He had a printing business which he started with his Dad. MARRIED: Stanley married Brenda Lawson on April 4, 1970 in Coalgate, OK CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Stanley attended Coalgate United Methodist Church where he was baptized. He served on several committees there. He loved fishing, hunting ,reading and traveling. Stanley enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, wood working and loved jazz music. Stanley's greatest pleasures was his grandchildren, Colin & Coutney. He loved spending time with Colin and watching Courtney play softball. He was a avid OU fan.
