John Edward McCullar, age 86, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, November 13, 1936, to John Christopher and Laura "Loni" Elizabeth (Hunt) McCullar, at Hunt, TX. John passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Durant, OK. He attended Atoka Public School. John was self employed, worked on septic tanks and hydraulic jacks. He married Dorothy Willis. They celebrated many years together before she passed. John enjoyed fishing (catfish), watching westerns, talking about the good ole days, and bossing everyone around.
John is survived by his daughter, Margaret Farrell and husband Ruel of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Ericka Cheatwood and Terry of Noble, OK, Ricky Vitela and Dee of Shawnee, OK, Derrick Vitela of Tushka, OK, Candace Beeson and Travis of LA, Margaret Quintania and Daniel of Enid, OK, Barbara Farrell of Caney, OK, Tracy Farrell of Midway City, CA; great grandchildren, Kyrah, Shayli, Paisley, Bryden, Payton, Jayleen, Braydon, Hayden, Kayden, Kaylon, Gracie, Aiden, Elonzo, Ceasar, Damien, Savannah, Mia, Toni, Sunny, Buford, Trevor, Rebel, Sierra, J.J, along with numerous great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loni McCullar; wife, Dorothy McCullar; daughter, Loretta Lynn McCullar-Douglas; great grandchild, Zayden; siblings, Leroy McCullar, Joe McCullar, Margaret Fisher, Raymond McCullar, Serelder Atkeson
