John William Rector, age 68, a lifelong Atoka County, OK resident, was born on Monday, December 20, 1954, to Billy Otto and Lorena Gale (Butler) Rector, at Fullerton, CA. John passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home in Farris, OK surrounded by his loved ones. He graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1974. John was self employed as a mechanic. John proudly served his country in The Army. He married Judy (Cottrell) on Saturday, August 20th, 1983 at Farris, OK. They celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing. John attended Farris Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music, playing poker and going to the cabin with his guys, hunting, fishing, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering in his shop.
John is survived by his wife, Judy Rector of the home in Farris, OK; daughters, Brandi Rector of Farris, OK, Amanda Rector of Farris, OK, Kandi Rector and husband David West of Purcell, OK, Britani Leforce  and husband Jason of Farris, OK, Rose Rector of Olney, OK; special daughter, Ashtyn Bible of Coalgate, OK; numerous grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, Oaklynn Mae Hawkins, Luther Gage Grubbs; brother, Jimmie Ham and wife Cindy of Farris, OK; sister, Brenda Wilson and husband Bobby of Farris, OK; father, Billy Rector of Farris, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena Rector; brother, Stanley Ham.
