PASSED AWAY: John passed way on March 14, 2011, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Tx. AGE 75 YEARS 0 MONTHS AND 1 DAYS EDUCATION: He graduated from high school in Enid, Ok., and then attended Oklahoma State University and studied Geology. He graduated with his masters in Meteorology from Texas A&M. MILITARY: He served his country in Vietnam and was awarded two purple hearts. OCCUPATION: John was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a local Cattle Rancher and taught school at Pottsboro, Tx and Sherman and Grayson County Jr. College. MARRIED: He married Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Hagans on August 7, 1987, at Atoka, Ok.
