Johnny Lloyd Morris, age 73, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, June 7, 1948, to Jewel Edward and Alpha Lois (Payne) Morris, at Atoka County, OK. Johnny passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Harmony and Bentley Grade Schools and graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1966. Johnny was an auto mechanic, volunteer fireman for Harmony for 20 years and also preached at several churches. He married Alvanell (McDaniel) on Wednesday, July 1st, 1987 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 34 years of marriage before his passing. Johnny was a member of Stringtown Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and being at the lake.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Alvanell Morris of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Alva "Ronnie" Massey and wife Alycia of NC, Charlotte Ballard and husband Bill of Asher, OK, Brandon Morris of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Christa, Brad, Phillip, Andrew, David, Brian, Jesse, Luke, Morgan, Colby, Cannon, Justine; fur baby, Fisher John; siblings, Prentice Morris and wife Mary of Quinton, OK, Doyle MOrris and wife Ova of McAlester, OK, Ruth Mayo of Bentley, OK, Peggy Arland of NM; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Edward and Alpha Lois (Payne) Morris; daughter, Rona Cavender; niece, Callie Morris; brother, Jessie Morris; brother in law, Harvey Mayo.
