Joseph "J.R." Barnhill Jr, a Wardville resident, was born on September 20, 1931, to Joseph "Joe" and Mary (Broadstreet) Barnhill, at Wardville, OK. He passed away on June 7, 2023 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 18 days. J.R. attended Wardville School. He was a rancher for many years. J.R. married Tilly Barnhill. She preceded him in death. He was of the Baptist Faith. J.R. enjoyed working his cattle and living the farm life.
