NAME: Joshua James Sexton, age 71, a Sherman, TX resident since 1987, formerly from Atoka area.

BORN: He was born on Sunday, March 31, 1946, to David C. Jr. and Ruth Mae (Ott) Sexton, at Sulphur, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Joshua passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Denison, TX at TMC

AGE: 71 years and 18 days.

EDUCATION: He attended BlackJack, Talihina, graduated from Atoka High School. He then went on to attend Murray and Haskell Institute where he studied engineering

OCCUPATION: Joshua was a mechanic. He owned and operated Josh's Auto Repair where he was self employed.

MILITARY: Joshua proudly served his country in The U.S. Army, where he was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

MARRIED: He married Debra Ann (Cassity) on Friday, July 10th, 1987 at Sherman, TX. They had 29 wonderful years together.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: He was a member of Country Chapel Baptist Church in Sherman, TX and a member of Choctaw Nation. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching TV and spending time with his grandbabies. He coached little league baseball and 4-H shooting competitions.
