Joyce Marie Boone, age 80, an Ada, OK resident, formerly a longtime resident of Atoka, OK. She was born on Tuesday, October 19, 1943, to Herman and Marie (Smart) Boone, at Ardmore, OK. Joyce passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her home in Ada, OK. She attended Atoka High School. Joyce was a housewife and mother.
She was a christian and attended Church of God. Joyce enjoyed traveling, cooking, she was the best baker, baking pies, gardening and loved being around her family.
Joyce is survived by her children, Sherry Meyer and husband Stephen of Ada, OK, Clint Shelton of Oklahoma City, OK, Bridget Crain and husband Tim of Paris, TX, Katherine Shelton of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Justin Gold and wife Katie of Boyton, OK, Travis Gold of Okmulgee, OK, Joshua Crain and wife Alexa of Hayesville, LA, Nathan Healthcock of Lehigh, OK, Matthew Shelton of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Colton Gold and Tagan Mitchell, Zane Campbell and Violet, Shelby Gold, Jacob Jocoy, Jackson Jocoy, Cash Gold; great great grandchild, Wrenlee Gold; sister, Pamela Pettigrew and husband Scott of Ft. Meyers, FL; brothers in law, Clay Simpson, David Johnson
along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Marie (Smart) Boone; father of her 4 children, Melvin Henry Shelton; siblings, Jerry Lee Boone, Janette Simpson, and Annette Stowe
