Elva Joyce (Cooksey) Coben, age 79, a longtime Lane, OK resident,  was born on Monday, August 1, 1938, to C.L. and Cleo (Williams) Cooksey, at Velma, OK. Joyce passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home in Lane, OK.
She attended Velma School and Atoka High School.
Joyce was a business owner and a bookkeeper for Noel Powell. She married Bill Coben in 1991 at Atoka, OK.
Joyce was of the baptist faith. She enjoyed seek a word puzzles.  She loved her fur babies and cooking.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Teresa White of Oklahoma City, OK, Carla Putman and husband Tony of Lane, OK, Vickie Daniel and husband Shane of Atoka, OK; siblings, Lyndel Cooksey and wife Paula of Castle Rock, CO,  Johnny Cooksey and wife Wendy of Duncan, OK, Phyllis Usher and husband Tom of Atoka, OK; step children, Jimmy Coben and wife Martha of Atoka, OK, Billie Thomas and husband Steve of Edmond, OK, Carla Jo Humphrey and husband Justin of Lane, OK; grandchildren, Jody White and wife Rhonda of Atoka, OK, Jamie Walton and husband Jerimy of Lane, OK, Jana Kelly and husband Bink of Moore, OK, Heather Morris and husband Eric of Atoka, OK, Steven Putman and wife Amy of Tulsa, OK, David Putman and wife Shawna of Kinta, OK, Jason Williams and Jennifer Kuykendall of Stringtown, OK, Justin Williams and Heather Linn of Antlers, OK, Bryan Williams and Krista Lowe of Tushka, OK, Austin Daniel and Paula Westfall of Caney, OK, Lindsay Davis and husband Doug of McAlester, OK; Baylie Wilson of Tushka, OK; step grandchildren, Casey Coben, Zane Coben, Thorne Coben, Chad Burleson, Meagan Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Coben Humphrey, Cort Humphrey, Cade Humphrey; 27 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, C. L. and Cleo (Williams) Cooksey; husband, Bill Coben; son, David S. Wilson; great granddaughters, Megan and Jolee White; great grandson, Jenson Williams.
