Juanita Jean Byars, age 90, a Caddo, OK resident, was raised in Stuart, OK, lived in Modesto, CA and moved back to Atoka County in 2006. She was born on Monday, November 21, 1932, to Hubert Ary and Bernice (Hedgecock) Kelley, at Stuart, OK. Juanita passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home in Caddo, OK. She attended school in Stuart, OK and graduated High School in Modesto, CA. Juanita was a homemaker, housewife, mother and grandmother. She married Charles Byars on Tuesday, June 26th, 1962 at San Pablo, CA. They celebrated 60 1/2 years before her passing. Juanita was a member of Wards Chapel Baptist Church where she served in the nursery and was involved in the Hospitality Group. She enjoyed quilting, and loved raising her children and grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Chuck Byars of the home in Caddo, OK; children, Connie Dornan of Fresno, CA, Teri Stiver of Phoenix, AZ, Johnnie Perkins of Auburn, CA, Cheryl Braden and husband Ken of Phoenix, AZ, Charlene Byars and Robert Anthony of Caney, OK, Kelley Graham and husband John of Hudson, OH, Randy Prock of Caddo, OK; 19 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren; brother, Foy Kelley and wife Mary Lou of Oakdale, CA; sister, Doris Kelley of Galt, CA; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Ary and Bernice (Hedgecock) Kelley; siblings, John Kelley, Luther Wayne Kelley, Claude Kelley, Arnold Kelley, Wilama Pauline Kelley; son, Hubert William Perkins; grandson, Russell Todd Neiger.
